A few weeks ago, I asked the following question on social media:
“What is ONE thing that keeps you from calling yourself a creative person?”
The underlying theme in people’s responses was that because they felt like they couldn’t paint like Van Gogh or write like Stephen King they had no right to call themselves creative.
We often think of creativity as spending hours and hours making an elaborate, artistic masterpiece that the whole world can marvel at.
And to this day you might still feel scarred for life after being told by your 4th-grade art teacher that you had NO talent (and to her I softly and sincerely say F*** off). Now, even HEARING the word "creativity" makes you cringe and feel anxious.
Creativity can be as simple as a subtle shift in your mindset- an openness to living and thinking in a different way and having more fun!
Have you ever stopped to look at little kids running, laughing, playing, being fully present in the moment and thoroughly enjoying their life?!
Does a part of you wish so freaking badly that you could start living that way?
I felt like that too. My metamorphosis into transforming my life happened in 2016 when I realized I was burned out as a conventional family practice physician, flipping patients like burgers every 15 minutes.
I wanted more.
So I dove deep into the world of functional medicine, learned about neuroplasticity and mitochondria, and discovered it was possible to *prescribe creativity* to myself and others for an optimal life experience!
Fast forward to November 2019 and I am just getting ready to launch my first FREE 10 Day Creativity Challenge that I designed for people who fall between the spectrum of Not Creative At All….to The Greatest Artist Of All Time (ahem, Kanye, WTF?!)
Launch date is November 29th Black Friday (I mean… COLORFUL FRIDAY).
